UnintegratedCircuit
About
I am an Electronic Engineering student studying at Bangor University and, while the course is fairly full-on in terms of both theoretical and practical content, it doesn't necessarily allow me to have fun. As a result, I often find myself undertaking an array of projects, many of which are completely useless and just serve as a decorative item that fills up my spare time through design and construction.

This website serves as a platform for me to document any projects I do undertake which will:

-
Encourage me to actually finish a project instead of just starting it, talking about it a lot and then leaving it;
-
Allow me to share any knowledge I gain which could be of use to fellow hobbyists out there;
-
Allow me to show off the end result of my projects.

As a warning to the unsuspecting reader, I have a bit of a soft spot for various vintage display tubes - be that a simple indicator tube such as the IV-15, a seven-segment display tube such as the IV-11 or some form of Nixie tube (of course, the best thing to ever be invented, ever).

Aside from hardcore electronics, I have a couple of other passions: my current car (a beloved 1990 Volvo 240, more than a decade my senior), drone photography and videography, and nostalgic techy things like Windows XP.

Hopefully, you find the content on this site educational, entertaining, inspiring or some combination thereof.

I also post updates on my electronics Instagram feed @unintegratedcircuit the link to which is at the bottom of every page (a pretty shameless plug, I know, but hey).

P.S. I feel it pertinent to mention that everything in this blog has been typed 'by hand' - none of that AI-generated nonsense - so if you appreciate that sort of stuff, then feel free to stick around.
